Abstract Aim Traumatic abdominal wall hernias (TAWH) are an uncommon clinical entity, accounting for less than 0.2% of all blunt trauma injuries. Management and operative technique still a matter debate the role robotic surgical platform in traumatic has not been reported on. We present robot-assisted repair TAWH through fracture left iliac wing. aim to describe our approach perform review literature. Material methods A 46-year-old male with history high energetic presented symptomatic swelling lumbar region. Further imaging showed important defect caused by disruption gluteus muscles non-union wing fracture. This herniation descending colon. transabdominal preperitoneal hernia (TAPP) synthetic mesh was performed elective setting. Results The postoperative course uneventful. Discharge possible at day one. There no site infection, seroma, or recurrence after follow-up period 6 months. Conclusions To knowledge, we first pelvic Our safe feasible. In difficult reach areas abdomen, might be valid approach. Larger studies needed confirm initial experience abominal surgery.
